T-Global declares change for a “climate emergency”

This is an announcement from T-Global:
"We have entered a "Climate Emergency"!

Did you know what the Oxford Dictionaries' word of the year 2019 was at the end of last year?
The answer is “Climate Emergency,” meaning that the world is in a state where it was time to take immediate action to contain climate change before it causes potential and irreversible environmental damage. The term Climate Change, as a result of global warming, no longer adequately describes the crisis facing the global environment.

Understanding the fact that a “climate emergency” exists is the first step towards realizing that it affects more than just the environment and life in a single region; but from underwater to terrestrial, from marine life to humans, and that the choices we make now will affect the future of people and the environment.
By the end of February 2020, more than 11,000 scientists have issued declarations and we in Taiwan should not be left out, which is why T-Global has joined the "Joint Declaration on the Climate Emergency" initiated by Greenvines, the Taiwan Environmental Information Association and B Lab Taiwan.

In our quest for a better environment, we are working hard on these fronts:

✔T-Global pledges to encourage ride-sharing among staff members.
✔T-Global pledges to promote a paperless office.
✔T-Global pledges to encourage staff members to use eco-friendly tableware.
✔T-Global pledges to provide mugs instead of disposable cups.
✔T-Global pledges to minimize overtime work.
✔T-Global pledges casual wear days twice a week so that staff members can wear light clothing.
✔T-Global pledges to encourage staff members to unplug after work.
✔T-Global pledges to support local smallholder farmers by purchasing their products.
And now, let's start by declaring that we care more deeply about our environment.
