【Event Recap】Campus Engagement and EV Industry Expansion Both at Home and Abroad! Experts in Heat Dissipation and Thermal Conduction, T-Global Showcase Technical Prowess at the Taipei AMPA Exhibition.

The Taipei International Automobile & Motorcycle Parts & Accessories Show (Taipei AMPA), which ranks among the world's four largest and Asia's second-largest international B2B automotive and motorcycle parts exhibition, successfully concluded recently. Many renowned manufacturers participated in this event, including T-Global, an expert in heat dissipation and thermal conduction technology. Leveraging the Taipei AMPA exhibition’s reputation as an industry barometer, T-Global showcased its robust capabilities in the field of heat dissipation and thermal conduction. 

  

Notably, T-Global's booth not only displayed a variety of heat conduction and dissipation products as well as professional thermal simulation solutions, but also featured the electric race car Leopard 01, handcrafted by the Formula Racing Team of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). This eye-catching electric race car is a product of the "Soaring Dandelion Project," a long-term campus engagement and corporate responsibility initiative spearheaded by T-Global.

The "Soaring Dandelion Project” helps bridge industry and academia, assisting students in cultivating research and design capabilities.

While making great strides in the commercial arena, T-Global has also been deeply engaged in campus activities and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Since 2016, they have been implementing the "Soaring Dandelion Project," offering students from various universities the opportunity to apply for thermal interface materials or research funding. They also provide guidance to students on materials, usage methods or principles, encouraging them to pursue innovative research. Through this initiative, T-Global can collaborate with universities to cultivate business talent, promote the integration of industry and academia, and drive the development of future technologies and related industries. 

The "Soaring Dandelion Project" has been quite successful thus far, with T-Global announcing they have assisted and sponsored research and development projects for students from at least 15 universities. They have also shared some notable collaborations and tangible results from recent years: 

- Tsinghua University (2022) : The Tsinghua Racing Factory became the first Taiwanese student team to participate in a European competition. They competed with top global teams in the most challenging German event, achieving fifth place in endurance races and fifth place overall in the Croatian event. 

- National Taiwan University (2022): The NTU Racing Team participated for the first time in the Formula Society of Automotive Engineers Australasia Competition (FSAEA) in Australia, being the only student team from Taiwan, as well as the only non-local team, to have participated in the event that year. They received the PACCAR award for the competition’s most impressive student group.

- National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (2023): The NTUST Formula Racing Team also participated in the FSAEA. In addition to passing all static inspections and qualifying for the endurance races, they were awarded the Harry Watson Best Contribution Award, being the only Asian team to receive an award in the competition.

The electric race car Leopard 01 showcased at T-Global's booth at the 2024 Taipei International Auto Parts & Accessories Show is also one of the collaborative achievements of the "Soaring Dandelion Project." This electric race car was built by the NTUST Formula Racing Team, and it utilizes T-Global's heat dissipation and conduction products in one of the most important components, the power battery.

Chung-Yu Lai, the Vice Captain of the NTUST Formula Racing Team, noted that to achieve optimal performance on the racetrack, the power battery used in electric race cars must possess powerful discharge capabilities. However, since the energy conversion efficiency of batteries is not 100%, heat is inevitably generated internally. If this heat is not promptly and effectively dissipated, it may lead to thermal runaway in the battery pack. This could impact battery life at best and result in more severe disasters like fires at worst. Therefore, the team opted for T-Global's TG-A1780 ultra-soft thermal conductive silicone pad as the thermal interface material between the battery pack and the water-cooled plate of the Leopard 01 electric race car.

Chung-Yu Lai further explained that the NTUST Formula Racing Team's decision to choose T-Global's thermal management solution stemmed from traditional thermal material suppliers only offering thermal materials. However, T-Global provides a comprehensive service process for thermal management design, covering everything from pre-design thermal simulation analysis and heat dissipation consultation to later-stage design implementation and material selection. They incorporate top-notch thermal simulation analysis software and have a professional team of thermal engineering experts to ensure that the Formula Racing Team has no thermal management worries during the development process. This allows the team to allocate more resources and manpower to other critical aspects of the project.

As a provider of the most advanced thermal management solutions, T-Global is a behind-the-scenes driving force of the global electric car industry. 

The Leopard 01 racecar’s interior electric batteries use T-Global's TG-A1780 ultra soft thermal pad to help maintain good thermal management and prevent overheating. This is just one example of the application of T-Global's heat conduction and dissipation technology in the EV industry. In fact, T-Global has been partnering with many countries’ domestic and international brands in the EV field, assisting them in overcoming all aspects of heat dissipation challenges in EVs. In the 2024 Taipei International Automotive Components Development talk, T-Global's domestic product consultant Hsun Lun-Li revealed that currently, T-Global's cooperation with domestic EV producers and local automotive brands shows its domestic brand customers already rely on T-Global's thermal pads and thermal paste to protect their main EV components, using these thermal interface materials to conduct heat away from heat generating sources and effectively avoid internal chip overheating.

T-Global's products have not just won the favor of the domestic EV industry, but have also extended the company’s influence to foreign markets, and have brought about collaboration between T-Global and many international brands in the EV industry. Regarding T-Global's current circumstances and development in foreign EV industries, T-Global's head of marketing for Europe Jo Sharp, along with the company’s international product distribution consultant Sinthia, shared some details at the 2024 Taipei International Automotive Components Exhibition. 

When interviewed, Jo Sharp stated that although it’s not possible to directly reveal specific customer information, T-Global is collaborating with many international EV industry leaders from all over Europe, the United States, and Asia. T-Global provides them with the most advanced thermal management solutions, especially for electric battery module and charging stations, DC-AV inverters, and advanced driver assistance systems. Sinthia added that the most common heat conduction and dissipation uses are still in EVs’ electric battery module, and through T-Global's thermal pads, like the TG-A3500 or TG4040 models, EV companies can effectively fill the gaps between the electric battery modules to achieve optimal heat dissipation, and T-Global's diverse product line can also be used to help protect a variety of vital automobile components, such as multimedia devices, light modules etc.

Jo Sharp stated the factors crucial to T-Global distinguishing itself on the global stage include its over 20 years of experience, high level backing from the R&D, technology and sales teams, and numerous certifications of excellence, including the internationally recognized automotive industry quality management certification IATF 16949. These features can enable T-Global to become the global market leader for heat conduction and dissipation solutions.

Sinthia believes that since T-Global relies on a diverse product line and technological ability, it can help EV manufacturers across the world overcome their heat conduction and dissipation challenges, and ensure their products can operate at optimal functionality under the most rigorous environmental conditions.

3 brand new high conduction coefficient products have arrived! T-Global, in adhering to 5T values, maintains its deep roots in the EV industry. 

Looking back at the 2024 Taipei International AMPA Exhibition, T-Global showcased NTUST Formula Racing Team's Leopard 01 racecar, revealing a major success story of the Soaring Dandelion subsidy project, while also displaying their various thermal management products and demonstrating their technical prowess. 

T-Global also announced 3 brand new high heat conduction coefficient products, including the AD65 Ultra Soft Thermal Pad, the AD75 Ultra Soft Thermal Pad, and the TG-N4000 Non-Silicone Thermal Putty. The AD65 and AD75 pads are capable of achieving a high thermal conduction coefficient while having an ultra-soft composition, successfully breaking through an industry wide technological bottleneck, providing all kinds of industries with an extensive range of thermal management options.

Looking to the future, domestic product consultant Hsun Lun-Li noted that T-Global will persist in upholding its [5T] core values, namely: T-Global Technology, Teamwork, Time & cost, Thermal engineering, and Trust T-Global. These five points enable T-Global to work with customers to develop into a global brand. T-Global will continue to help the emerging EV market develop, and “use our passion to solve our customers’ heat dilemmas.”
